Data Scientist (80-100%)

As part of our Research Digital Applications team, you will explore how data, machine learning, and cloud technologies can create measurable value for customers across the HVAC ecosystem.

We are looking for a Data Scientist who is equally passionate about both data and algorithms as well as their impact on real-world applications. Someone who enjoys diving deep into data and developing data-driven solutions but who is also curious about HVAC systems, building automation, customer challenges, and the business impact of technology.

• Develop data-driven solutions that address real customer challenges in HVAC applications.
• Analyze large-scale operational, device, and application data to generate actionable insights.
• Design, develop, and evaluate machine learning models and data analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products.
• Collaborate with software engineers, HVAC application experts, and product teams to bring ideas from research into practical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve commissioning, operation, diagnostics, maintenance, and energy efficiency through data.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in data science, machine learning, and cloud platforms.
• Prototype, validate, and demonstrate new concepts that can create future customer value and business opportunities.

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
• Experience with data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and modern data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries and frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Spark, or similar technologies is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and production data workflows is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and drive ideas from concept to prototype.
• Fluent business English (written and spoken).
