Our lean, focused team proudly service over 100 installations worldwide, with new installations added every year. Our game changing technology is making big strides to increase revenue, reduce waste and automate quality control for our industry leading customers.

To support our growing client and project base, we are looking to expand our Data Scientist Team in Spreitenbach.

Your Role at SpectraFlow Analytics

You will develop and optimize data-driven models for our NIR sensors, directly contributing to real-time analysis and process optimization in industrial applications.

You will work at the intersection of data science, chemometrics, and process engineering, bringing analytical solutions into real-world use.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain calibration models for NIR and spectral data (e.g., multivariate regression / chemometric models)
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret measurement and process data, including spectral preprocessing
  • Evaluate and continuously improve model performance and robustness
  • Visualize and communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and customer projects
Your Profile
Must-have
  • Master’s degree in data science, engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in data analysis and modelling (Python or MATLAB)
  • Solid foundation in statistics and multivariate analysis
  • Experience with NIR, spectral, or sensor data
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Ability to communicate complex results clearly
  • Good English skills (B1–B2+)
Nice-to-have
  • Background in chemometrics or calibration methods
  • Basic knowledge of SQL / data management
  • Experience or interest in process analytics, mining, materials science, or chemistry
  • Basic German skills (A1) are a plus, or willingness to learn
